A man has been injured after being assaulted with a metal pole near a roundabout in Plymouth, police have said.
It happened just after 06:30 on Thursday when two vehicles crashed and both drivers stopped at Marsh Mills.
Police said one man approached the other and assaulted him, hitting him several times with a metal pole.
The victim, a man in his 20s, had injuries to his left eye, right hand and the right side of his body.
Police are appealing for witnesses and want to speak to a man in connection with the incident. He's described as white, 6ft 2ins, of a big build, 45 to 50 years old, with short, grey, receding hair, wearing a green polo shirt, blue jeans and driving a green Citreon Berlingo.
